Home / In-Home & Community Supports
Available nowSupporting independence where it matters most.
Individualized support in the home and in the community, always with independence, dignity and personal choice leading the way.
Why it matters
Doing it for someone is faster. Doing it with them is the job.
The quickest way to get a kitchen clean is to clean it yourself. The quickest way to make the appointment on time is to do the talking. Both are faster, and both quietly tell an adult that they cannot manage their own life.
Our staff are trained to take the slower route on purpose. We prompt before we act, we hand over each task the moment it can be handed over, and we treat a mistake as information rather than a reason to take back control.
What support can include
Built from the daily list, not from a catalogue.
Every plan is different. These are the areas families most often ask us to work on.
Meal preparation and food
Planning a week of meals someone will actually eat, shopping to a list, safe use of the kitchen, and cooking together until the recipe belongs to them. Ending with a meal they are proud of matters as much as the technique.
Budgeting and money
Understanding what comes in, what has to go out, and what is left for the things that make life good. Practising at the register, checking the receipt, and building the confidence to say no to a purchase.
Laundry and household routines
Sorting, machines, folding, putting away. Cleaning routines broken into steps that can be owned one at a time until the whole routine is theirs.
Household organization
A system for mail, appointments, medication reminders and the paperwork that quietly stresses everyone. Systems are designed with the person so they survive after we leave the room.
Recreation and community activity
Support does not stop at the front door. Getting to the gym, the club, the movie or the family gathering is part of the same plan.
Daily living skills
Personal care routines, safety at home, using a phone confidently, and knowing who to call and when. The unglamorous skills that decide how independent a life can be.
How it improves a life
Fewer things done for you. More things you can do.
- A meal cooked start to finish without a prompt
- Knowing what is in the account before payday
- A home that stays organized between visits
- Family time spent as family rather than as unpaid staff
- A record of skills that supports a move toward more independent living
Straight answers
Questions we get asked about this service.
If yours is not here, call 484-378-2277 and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you guess.
No, and that is the point. We work alongside the person, hand over each step as soon as it can be handed over, and treat mistakes as information. If you want a cleaner, hire a cleaner. This service exists to build capability.
Yes. In-home hours are scheduled around the person’s actual life, including evenings and weekends. Tell us when support would genuinely help rather than when it is easiest to staff.
We can provide prompts and reminders and support someone to build a routine they manage themselves. Anything beyond that is agreed in writing with the family and the team before services start.
A small number of weekly hours is a perfectly normal way to begin, and we would rather start small and prove it works than commit you to a schedule nobody has tested. Tell us the goals you need supported and we will be straight with you about whether we are the right fit.
One next step
Tell us what a good week would look like.
That is enough to begin. We build the first hours around it and work outward from there, and we reply within one business day.
